We also provide thorough structural inspections, offering expert assessments and reports for properties of all ages. Directors

Samuel Latimer

Samuel founded SWAL Engineering in 2018 and has served as the principal engineer and director since its inception. A Chartered Structural Engineer and a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, his career in private practice began in 2011.

He has been the lead engineer on a wide variety of projects across all construction sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare. His expertise covers everything from the sensitive refurbishment of historic and listed buildings and structures to temporary works including façade retention, to the design of large-scale, multi-storey developments with basements.

In addition to structural engineering, Samuel has held lecturing positions at Anglia Ruskin University and overseen Structures and Materials labs at the University of Sheffield.
